Thinner

This project examines how our society looks at body issues in a less traditional way, by mimicking the feeling of renaissance paintings of the past, where the voluptuous body was celebrated, but using extremely thin individuals instead. Our society has its strict definitions of what is beautiful, which people tend to think includes thin, but the parameters are, well, thinner than that. There is a point where being too thin is not attractive, and the individuals are often bullied and very self-conscious of their bodies. Many of these people can not gain weight, so instead when they become depressed they lose weight and can become dangerously thin.

Currently, society is attempting to celebrate all bodies by loving plus sizes, which is amazing, but does not feel all inclusive. The Thinner project also wants people to think about all body types and embrace them.
